*17 or under must have completed Drivers Training Course.
If you are under 18 years of age you will need to provide acceptable proof of enrollment and attendance in or graduation from a recognized high school or equivalent program before an instruction permit, driver training permit or driver's license can be issued. This proof can be in the form of a verification of compliance (VOC) letter from an acceptable school or program you are attending, a high school diploma, or a general education certificate of completion.
For Drivers coming in from another state with a driver's license from that state, you must bring, your existing license along with a utility bill, lease or rental agreement or paycheck. It must have your name, and your new Idaho address on it and you must be prepared to take the Idaho written exam. Be sure to come in during the appropriate hours.
